Unlike many packaging materials such as bubble wrap, molded plastic and expanded polystyrene, PacGro uses coir dust with few more agricultural residues, but contains no chemical binders; it can be found in many tropical countries, as its principal component.
As with other forms of packaging this can then be molded into various forms or used as padding. In addition, PacGro products absorbs up to eight times its own weight, making it versatile for transporting liquids. Once its role as a packaging material is over it is fully biodegradable and can be readily composted to enrich the soil.
